Simon Myers

Biography

Simon is an Associate in the landscape team SLR and has over 15 years environmental consultancy experience. His experience is focused on environmental impact assessment, planning and landscape planning, design and management for large scale developments throughout the UK and Ireland.
He specialises in the assessment of landscape/seascape/townscape and visual impact assessment. These projects have covered a wide range of development sectors including energy, waste management, infrastructure, highways, minerals/quarrying, residential and urban regeneration.

As well as preparing landscape and visual impact assessments for numerous projects, Simon has also managed the preparation of environmental statements and planning applications. He has undertaken/prepared feasibility studies, policy and guidance related work, landscape planning work and landscape masterplans. Simon has also prepared landscape design proposals for a wide range of sites, from small scale planting to large scale restoration schemes. His experience includes expert witness support at public inquiry (or equivalent processes) for proposed developments, preparation of written representations for appeals and he has provided representations at a Development Consent Order examination.
